Traveling across the State

March was filled with lots of exciting events.  The Monroe City Council Meeting was first on the agenda this month.  This was the first Council Meeting I had ever attended in my hometown.  I was so honored to receive a Proclamation from the City of Monroe.

Next, I headed to Fayetteville to see Marie at MHR Designs.  Beth, Marie, and I started to plan an outfit for Miss North Carolina!  I can’t wait to wear it in June!  From Marie’s we travelled to visit various sponsors.  This is always such a treat.  Each sponsor is always so warm and welcoming.

The Miss Raleigh Pageant was here!  It was time to emcee the pageant and crown the new Miss Raleigh.  Congratulations go out to Adrienne Core, Miss Raleigh 2010!

Saint Patrick’s Day always brings out the lucky leprechauns, shamrocks, and parades.  This Saint Patrick’s Day was spent in the lovely city of Pinehurst.  From the parade, Dad and I headed to the Scotland Neck Chili Cook-off.  I sampled all kinds of chili; chili with beans to chili with chocolate, they had it all.  Honestly, I had no idea there were so many chili combinations. Summer Judges Seminar
