What's special?

Katie is not only a talented vocalist but also a dedicated Director at Stoney Creek Child Care Center. With her roots in Fremont, NC, Katie has journeyed back to Wayne Community College to pursue an Early Childhood Education program, planning to further enhance her career in child education. Her initiative, "End the Silence," focuses on opening discussions about mental health among young children. Katie’s adventurous spirit has taken her from ziplining over crocodiles to performing on cruise ships, though she admits to being terrified of riding a bike!

Ella Marks

What's fascinating?

Ella, showcasing her skills in American Sign Language, is a freshman with high aspirations for a career in journalism. Based in Wilson, NC, she’s already making strides as a freshman at Hunt High School and has dreams of attending Clemson University. Her CSI, "Educate and Elevate: The Power of Inclusion," aims to foster literacy and acceptance among students. When she's not studying or advocating, Ella coaches youth basketball, plays varsity tennis, and loves exploring her community.

About the Miss North Carolina Organization

As an official state preliminary associated with the Miss America Organization, the Miss North Carolina Organization (MNCO) is a part of the largest scholarship providing organization for women in the world. Promoting an emphasis on academics and communication skills, the MNCO is considered a launching pad for young women to further their academic and career goals. Taylor Loyd currently serves as Miss North Carolina 2023. Hanley House, crowned Miss North Carolina’s Teen 2023, became the first teen from North Carolina to win the national title as Miss America’s Teen 2024.
