Sophia Kellstrom, Miss North Carolina 2025
On June 28, 2025, Sophia Kellstrom, a native of Kings Mountain, was crowned the 87th Miss North Carolina. Kellstrom promotes her Community Service Initiative of “Make a Change: Fighting Food Insecurity” and is dedicated to partnering with organizations worldwide to combat hunger on a global scale.
She performed a vocal of “At Last” in the talent competition.
Kellstrom received a $20,000 scholarship and will represent North Carolina in the Miss America 2026 competition. She also earned the use of a Lincoln SUV for the year from Knox Auto Sales in Dunn, NC.

SCHOLARSHIP
Kellstrom has earned a $20,000 scholarship as Miss North Carolina in addition to a $1000 scholarship for winning a Preliminary Evening Gown Award, a $1000 scholarship for winning a Preliminary Talent Award, and a $500 scholarship for winning the Overall Vocal Talent Award.
