Current Schooling: I completed my BA in Communication Studies at Cal Poly State University – San Luis Obispo and obtained my AA in Communications from Cuesta College.

What are your scholastic and/or career ambitions? In the near future I plan to pursue my MBA with a concentration in Finance to help with my dream of eventually becoming the CEO of a Fortune 500 company.

Community Service Initiative (CSI): Common Cents: Financial Literacy Education

What are some objectives you have as a titleholder? My CSI is Common Cents: Financial Literacy Education. This year I plan to partner with local credit unions to bring financial literacy workshops to parents and young adults throughout the state. I currently work the the NC Council of Economic Education to bring financial literacy education to students, and will work with them to develop a pamphlet for parents to continue with their money exposure at home in a grade-appropriate manner.

What are some interesting facts about you? I guest starred in Grey’s Anatomy during my senior year of high school, and I write and perform original country music across both Carolinas.

What do you enjoy doing for fun? I’m an avid beach volleyball player! Fun fact: my beach volleyball team has won our league’s championship twice this past year.
