This year, as Miss North Carolina’s Teen, I have learned just how important it is to feel confident not only on stage, but in my own skin every single day. For as long as I can remember, I have struggled with extremely sensitive skin. Many makeup products I tried in the past left my skin irritated or inflamed, and damaged my skin barrier, making wearing makeup feel more like a risk than a confidence boost.
