Kerrigan promotes her social impact initiative of “Kind is Cool,” aiming to encourage the community to be kind to themselves and each other. Sign the pledge to join her in spreading kindness throughout the country. She performed a jazz dance to “So Much Better” in the talent competition, and was awarded an additional $500 scholarship as the night 2 Preliminary Evening Gown/Onstage Question Award. In addition to winning the crown, Brown received $8,000 in scholarships throughout the week’s competition and the opportunity to compete in August at the 17th Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Competition in Dallas, Texas.
