Current Schooling: I am a 2019 graduate of UNC Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Science and a current MBA student with a concentration in Healthcare Management at UNC Wilmington.
What are your scholastic and/or career ambitions? I plan to attend a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine program and open my own Pediatric Medicine office in a rural, under-served area.
Community Service Initiative (CSI): Give it a S.H.O.T.: Promoting Science Hands on Training
What are some objectives you have as a titleholder? My CSI, Give it a S.H.O.T.: Promoting Science Hands on Training, is all about getting kids excited about science at an early age through the use of hands on activities. I am currently in the process of transforming this initiative into a non-profit organization and am excited to partner with educators, school boards, and community members to host science education events across Garner and the state of North Carolina.
What are some interesting facts abut you? Frontline healthcare worker during the COVID-19 pandemic; Paid off my student loan debt within two years of graduating to begin saving for more educational opportunities; Purchased my first home at 23 years old; Registered tax professional with the IRS as a senior in high school.
What do you enjoy doing for fun? I enjoy teaching my competitive dance students, participating in group fitness classes at Pure Barre and OrangeTheory, traveling, and spending time with my friends and family.
