What are your scholastic and/or career ambitions? To earn an MBA and invest in the next generation of impact entrepreneurs.
Community Service Initiative (CSI): Build Your Future
What are some objectives you have as a titleholder? My CSI, Build Your Future, aims to increase student retention and engagement through purpose-powered STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) education. Through my two-hour school program and microgrants funded by the sales of my self-published children’s book, Build Your Future, I hope to reach over 1,000 students and show them the power of innovation in transforming our communities.
What are some interesting facts about you? I’ve lived in 4 countries and solo backpacked through 13 countries in Southeast Asia and Europe.
My ancestry includes over 200 years of North Carolina history, including educators, clergy, and entrepreneurs.
I received a Nichols Humanitarian Fund grant for my work on women’s STEAM education in Namibia, Africa.
What do you enjoy doing for fun? From dancing to running to pilates and more, I love trying group fitness classes and finding new ways to move!
