Community Service Initiative (CSI): S.M.I.L.E. – Sharing Moments, Inspiring, & Loving Elders

What are some objectives you have as a titleholder? My CSI is S.M.I.L.E : Sharing Moments, Inspiring, & Loving Elders. It’s my goal to lead, connect and define the importance of active-aging, advocacy efforts, and connectivity among elders across the state of North Carolina. I develop community connectivity opportunities, programs and partnerships with local business leaders and entrepreneurs to then utilize within wellness facilities, senior housing communities, and senior organizations. My goal is to encourage and provide opportunities for elders to live as fully as possible within all dimensions of wellness (i.e., physical, social, environmental, emotional and spiritual).

What are some interesting facts abut you? 7th Generation of first-born girls with the middle name Averette, Harry Potter Wand Collector

What do you enjoy doing for fun? Being a Worship & Production Team Leader at my church, shooting photography and videography, and playing with my black lab pup, Bear.
