Community Service Initiative (CSI): Project Purple: Advocating for Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis
What are some objectives you have as a titleholder? My CSI is Project Purple: Advocating for Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. I started my CSI at the age of 9 after seeing how much my mother had gone through since being diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. Over the years I have raised over $5,000 for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America and over the course of my reign as Miss Statesville’s Teen I hope to raise at least $1,000 for research and funding of these diseases. I also plan to visit Iredell County Elementary schools to teach them that being kind is free and can always have an impact on those around you.
What are some interesting facts abut you? I have been involved in this organization since the age of 8, President Obama has called my family, and my favorite celebrity is Zendaya.
What do you enjoy doing for fun? I love spending time practicing with my HS Dance Team, or at the dance studio, reading, and watching movies.
