Current Schooling: I am currently in my third year, a senior at the University of Oklahoma, studying health and exercise science and dance.

What are your scholastic and/or career ambitions? After dancing professionally, I want to earn my Master of Medical Science degree to become a Physician Assistant.

Community Service Initiative (CSI): Beyond the Ribbon: Fighting Together to Save Lives

What are some objectives you have as a titleholder? My CSI is ¨Beyond the Ribbon: Fighting Together to Save Lives.¨ My goal is to educate and spread awareness about Breast Cancer while also supporting families who have a loved one who has been diagnosed. I am working toward a partnership with Go Jen Go, an organization that works to provide monetary assistance for bills to the families of breast cancer warriors in the Charlotte-Metro area. I would like to start a similar program in my community to help with resources for diagnosed patients. I am working to educate the public on the importance of breast self-exams and mobile mammography. My goal is to make a passionate plea to policy makers to lower the recommended age a woman should receive their first mammogram.

What are some interesting facts about you? I love all things Disney and made it to the final round of their cruise auditions. I have visited 28 US states and hope to achieve my goal of visiting all 50 states. I can not ride a bike, but I go to a cycling class every week. I’ve been to Alaska twice, enjoyed whale watching, and hiked the Mendenhall Glacier. I have danced with the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. My favorite adventures include climbing Dunn River Falls in Jamaica, swimming with stingrays in the Grand Cayman Islands, and hiking the Grand Canyon.

What do you enjoy doing for fun? I love to travel and can not wait to gather new stamps in my passport. I am an avid shopper and enjoy finding a good deal. I love to dance, teach dance, and choreograph.
