Current Schooling: I am a dual-enrolled high school student. While attending Hibriten High School as a junior, I am also taking courses at Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute. By the end of summer quarter 2024, I am on track to have completed 29 semester hours of college credit.

What are your scholastic and/or career ambitions? My academic goals are ambitious. I aim to complete my Associate of Arts degree by the end of my senior year of high school while taking prerequisites for the nursing program. My long-term plan is to earn an Associate in Nursing (ADN) degree by 2026, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college. After gaining experience as a registered nurse, I plan to pursue a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a specialization in Nurse Anesthesia, leading to my ultimate goal of obtaining a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program in the same field.

Community Service Initiative (CSI): #BeThe1

What are some objectives you have as a titleholder? Community Service Initiative (#BeThe1): I am driven by the desire to combat bullying, I aim to create a world where kindness and empathy prevail. Witnessing the impact of bullying firsthand, I strive to empower others and ensure everyone feels safe and valued.

Objectives: Promote the Say Something App: Partnering with Sandy Hook Promise, I will advocate for the anonymous reporting system, expanding its reach to surrounding counties.

Develop Anti-Bullying Programs: Collaborate with local shelters and arts councils to establish summer and after-school programs integrating the arts to prevent bullying.

Advocate at Washington Youth Tour: Attend the leadership program and discuss youth mental health and bullying prevention with representatives.

What are some interesting facts about you? I’ve been part of the Girl Scouts since I was 7 years old. I earned my Bronze award by gathering donations and making blankets, which I packed into duffel bags along with toiletries, pillows, and coloring books for kids who are taken out of their homes and put into the system by DSS.

I was lucky enough to be chosen as one of 20 students for Camp Med, a summer program where I got to intern and learn about careers in medicine while observing medical professionals in action.

For a speech contest hosted by my local energy coop, I submitted a speech about digital citizenship awareness and cyberbullying. My speech stood out and I was selected to move on to the final round, where I delivered a 10-minute talk about the impacts of social media, why digital citizenship matters, and how social media can help businesses like our local energy coop.

All these efforts paid off when I was chosen for the Washington Youth Tour, an exclusive leadership experience attended by only 40 students in North Carolina.

On a more personal note, I absolutely love riding horses and dream of owning a horse farm one day!

What do you enjoy doing for fun? When it comes to what I do for fun, fashion and makeup are so much more to me than just appearances; they’re amazing ways for me to show the world who I truly am. I love experimenting with different styles and colors because they give me a confidence boost and make me feel like the most authentic version of myself.

Another passion of mine is traveling, which opens up a world of new experiences and lessons about our diverse planet. Every new destination feels like a thrilling adventure, introducing me to unique cultures, delicious foods, and breathtaking landscapes.

Exploring new cuisines is something I absolutely adore; each bite is like a discovery of the creativity that goes into every dish, making every meal an incredibly flavorful and memorable experience.
