HIGH POINT (June 29, 2024) – Kamryn Hollowell, Miss Statesville’s Teen, was crowned Miss North Carolina’s Teen 2024 this afternoon at High Point Theatre. Hollowell, from Clayton, will represent the state at the upcoming Miss America’s Teen competition. Hollowell promoted her Community Service Initiative of Project Purple: Advocating for Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis, and performed a fast-paced clogging routine to “The Devil Went Down to Georgia.” Earlier this week, she was awarded the Preliminary Evening Gown Award worth $250. In addition to the Miss North Carolina’s Teen title and its $7,500 prize, she also won the Community Service Impact scholarship, worth $500. The results were the culmination of a week-long competition as part of the Miss North Carolina Organization’s Miss North Carolina pageant.
“Kamryn is an exciting addition to the legacy of our Teen program, and having witnessed her growth through our system, I know the potential she has,” said the State Director of Miss North Carolina’s Teen, John Norris. “We look forward to seeing all she’ll do during her reign.”
“Having started in the organization eight years ago as a Carolina Star, and now as a Teen, I can’t wait to empower teens across the state as well as the next generation of Stars,” said Hollowell. “I have a story, and I am ready to share it.”
